SPACE IS CLOSER THAN YOU THINK

These are the first words you see at SpaceForce.com, because it’s both literally and figuratively true. Space officially begins only 62 miles above us. And it’s in our pockets. Our modern day of life depends on space, from pumping gas and withdrawing cash to using GPS. When the Space Force was signed into law in 2019, they didn’t have a logo, uniform, or website. And it didn’t help that Netflix’s comedic take on the 6th branch of the U.S. Armed Forces was airing before anything for the real Space Force. Luckily, service members from the other branches were clamoring to transfer in so recruiting needs were low. Our main task was proving that the Space Force was, in fact, real. And much more important than you think.

SPACE IS HARD

This video features General John “Jay” Raymond, the 1st Chief of Space Operations. My favorite moment of the shoot was when he was asked a technicality about space to ensure accuracy. He thought for a moment and said, “Somebody get me an Astronaut.” And someone did…very quickly.
