Only 1% of our population serves and only a small percentage of them join for love of country. For most young people, it’s not a 1st choice, but one that ends up being the right choice. It’s one chapter of their life to launch a future that might not otherwise be possible. They join for the education and benefits, to learn a trade, travel the world, work with world-class tech, or to get out of wherever they find themselves ‘stuck’.
